Hydraulic oils with wear, foaming and demulsifying properties are recommended for systems with these motors. The viscosity should be between 20 and 43 cSt [100 - 200 S.U.S.] at operating temperature. Overpressurisation is a major cause of motor failure, therefore adequate pressure relief protection is necessary. Hydraulic motors should not be used to hold loads, mechanical brakes are required.
